This study follows my Ladybug Interaction definition: a 10 × 10 facade, a movable 7 × 3 shading screen, and horizontal hinges that map lower exposure to 90° opening and higher exposure to 5°.
The annual sky is calculated with Ladybug + Radiance from Sydney IWEC weather, using 145 Tregenza sky patches. The browser estimates incident radiation at each original, unrotated panel centre and checks which sky directions the screen blocks. Colours show that input exposure, not radiation recalculated on the moving panels.
This is a design exploration, not a validated performance assessment. Ground reflection, surrounding buildings and panel self-shading are excluded. The response is remapped across the current facade; a uniform field uses the closed end of the range. The screen is drawn translucent for visibility but treated as opaque in the calculation.
